Rev. Beth Copenhaver
Pastor Beth has been ordained in the United Church of Christ since 1994 and began her pastorate with Congregational UCC in Detroit Lakes in June, 2025. Pastor Beth has served congregations of all sizes in Wisconsin, Oregon and Minnesota. Pastor Beth believes that all of life and faith is rooted in relationship: with God, with self and with one another. She strives to be a conduit for God's inclusive, joy-filled, expansive love and believes fiercely in the transformational possibilities of church community. Pastor Beth is relishing being a newlywed, having married Mark Copenhaver in August, 2024. They have three young adult children and one sweet rescue pup named Nova. They are delighted to make their home in Detroit Lakes after decades of living in the Twin Cities. Pastor Beth is looking forward to creating beautiful gardens around their home and enjoys theater, a compelling book and conversation over a good cup of coffee.
